Milton Francis Wells, 70, of Hillsboro, OR, died Saturday, Dec. 3, in Hillsboro. He was a former Ireton resident. Services and burial were Wednesday in Oregon.

Mr. Wells was born Feb. 21, 1913, in Ireton and educated here. He married Margaret Behrend April 18, 1939, in LeMars. He worked on the Alaska Alcan Highway from 1941 until 1942 and later did construction work in Iowa. He moved to Oregon from Sioux City in 1968. He retired in 1975 after working in Portland as a diesel mechanic. Recently he was the assistant manager of the Pinewood Village Apartments where the family lived. He was a member of the Portland Gateway BPOE 2411 and the Beaverton Eagle aerie.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Twila Gould of Forest Grove, OR; four brothers, Charles of Lake Benton, MN, Allen of Medford, MN; Willis of Ireton and Merle of Sioux City; two sisters, Shirley Schnee and Kathy Boddy, both of Sioux City and two grandchildren.
