Lola Kaelke, 62, of New London, MN, died unexpectedly at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN, Thursday afternoon, Dec. 8, 1983. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Rev. Phillip Nelson and the Rev. Delwayne Hahn officiated. Burial was at Lebanon Cemetery.

She was born to John and Clara Barinsky November 5, 1921, at Hawarden. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, also at Hawarden, where she graduated from high school. She attended college in LeMars and taught country school for several years. She married Roy C. Kaelke Dec. 27, 1943, at the Methodist Church in Akron, where they lived until 1956 when they moved to New London and began farming. She was an active member at Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roy; two sons, Gary of New London and Kerwyn of Spicer , MN; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Sheryl) Zipf of Willmar, MN; four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lester (Lois) Janssen of Hawarden. She was
preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John, Jr.
