Harold H. Ronsiek, 56, of Hawarden died Sunday, Oct 30,1963, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the United Methodist Church in Hawarden. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion of Akron. A prayer service was conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, followed by a Masonic Service in the Dow Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Lewis Meyer, Gordon Van Wyhe, Charles Houlton, Ralph Brown, Carlyle Dirks and Floyd Prinsen.
Ronsiek was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Hawarden. He married Wilma Hazel March 5,1963, in Hawarden. He farmed in the area and also was a salesman and county manager for Archer Oil Co. He served in the Korean War. Mr. Ronsiek was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion of Akron and Masonic Lodge of Hawarden.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cathy and Cindy, both of Sioux City; a son, Vince of Hawarden; his mother, Sophia Ronsiek of Hawarden; a sister, Mrs. Herb (Margaret) Frerichs of Akron, and two grandchildren
