Hawarden Independent of August 18, 1983

Glenn Rounds, 83, of Hawarden died Wednesday, Aug. 10,1983, in a hospital in Hawarden. Services were at 1:30 pm. in the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dwight Rengstorf officiated. Burial was in the Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden. Pallbearers were Loren Bryson, J. Lawrence Scbief eh, James Petry, Lester Janssen, George Wood, and Jerald Schneider.

Mr. Rounds was born Sept. 5, 1899, near Onawa. He lived in the Le Mars area before moving to Hawarden in 1937. He married Ella Larson Nov. 26,1942, in Le Mars. He was employed by the L. G. Everist Co. and Western Contracting from 1940 until 1951. He worked for Vigortone Feeds until retiring in 1970. He Was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Ruth) Schiefen of Hawarden; two sons, Mark of Hermosa Beach, CA, and Robert of Harlan; nine grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
