Rev. C. A Jongewaard who with his wife went to Hale Center Texas last fall died at that place last Friday.

On that day the relatives here received two telegrams. The first one stated That he was very ill and the next one that he had died.

Deceased was born nearly thirtynine years ago at Pella Iowa, With hisparents he arrived in Sioux county in 1872 and his early education was received at t h e Northwestern Classical academy of this place. Later heattended school at Grinnell and HopeSeminary at Holland Michigan.

He was active in the ministry for ten years during which time he had charges at Macon Michigan, MontagueMichigan, Grandin North
Dakota and Baldwin Wisconsin.

Three years ago he was married at Montague Michigan to Miss Fowler of that city. Be leaves to mournhim his widow, his aged father and a
number of brothers and sisters. The remains arrived here Wednesday accompanied by the widow and Albert a son of Teunis Jongewaard who has for sometinm past been in Texas.

The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home of John Jongewaard and at the First Reformed church conducted by Revs. Stapelkamp, Winter and Heemstra. Those relatives from out of town who came to attend the funeral were a sister Mrs. Baas andtwo brothers Anthony and Ring from Litchville North Dakota and a brother Teunis from Morris Minnesota,

(A family report on ancestry.com lists Cornelius Jongewaard born 1868 Iowa died May 1907 Yale Center, Texas. His parents were Albert Jongewaard and Jenneke Cornelia Muilenburg, married to Myrtle Fowler Jun 1904 in Michigan. No children listed.)
