Mrs. Cynthia Rozeboom, age 86, of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, September 27, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30 at 1:30 P.M. at the American Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Rev. Marlin Vander Wilt officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 9 P.M. at the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.

Cynthia was born March 14, 1897, at Orange City, the daughter of Arend Pennings and Jane Kars Pennings. Upon reaching adulthood she became a teacher at the Northwestern Classical Academy in Orange City.

On September 10, 1924, she married William Anthony Rozeboom at Orange City. They lived most of their married lives in Ottumwa where Mr. Rozeboom was a high school teacher. In June of 1972 they returned to Orange City. Mr. Rozeboom passed away March 28, 1979.

Mrs. Rozeboom was a member of the American Reformed Church and a former active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ottumwa.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. William W. Rozeboom of Edmunton, Alberta, Canada; Dr. Earl G. Rozeboom of Winterset and Dr. Paul E. Rozeboom of Mankato, Minnesota; ten grandchildren and one brother, Marion Pennings of Grand Haven, Michigan
