JENNIE ROZEBOOM DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS DUE TO CANCER

Miss Jennie Rozeboom passed away on Wednesday morning April 16, 1947 at her home at the age of 45 years. She had been ill for many months with cancer. She was born on the 22nd of May 1901, on the farm three miles north and a half mile east of Sioux Center and spent all of her life in the immediate vicinity of the town of Sioux Center.

Left to mourn her departure are her aged mother, Mrs.John Rozeboom Sr., three sisters, Mrs. Charlie Vander Berg of Crawford, Colorado, Mrs. Henry Vermeer of Sioux Center and Mrs. Glenn Nieford of Indianola; and four brothers, Henry of Lynden, Washington, Gerrit of Orange City, Neal of Sioux Center and Rev. Richard of Denver, Colorado. She is further survived by five half-brothers, Beert, Hannes both of Sioux Center, Lammert of Sheldon, Andrew of California, John of Steen, Minnesota, and three half-sisters, Mrs. Barney Kempers and Mrs. John Kempers both of Sioux Center and Mrs. Gerrit Vander Berg of Orange City.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at one o’clock at the home and at one-thirty o’clock at the First Reformed Church. Rev. L.A. Brunsting will officiate. Burial will take place at the local cemetery.
