Lori Lynn Hamstra
Lori Lynn Hamstra, 23. of Ireton died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at a Sioux City hospital following a long illness. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton with the Rev. Perry Schefelker officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Miss Hamstra was born Sept. 26. 1971, in Le Mars. She graduated from West Sioux High School in 1990 and attended Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City. She was employed by Dr. Richard Hettinger in Sioux City. She hoped to further her education to become a dental hygienist by attending classes at WIT and working part time at MCI in Sergeant Bluff and at the Southern Country Restaurant in Craig.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was confirmed, and a member of the American Dental Association. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Gertrude and Eugene Vander Haam of Ireton; a brother and his wife, Lyle and Mary Hamstra of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Lana and Robb Munns of California City, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Sarah Nicholas and Emily Hamstra, Arrend and Austin Munns and Jason Vander Esch of Elk River, Idaho; a stepbrother, Greg Vander Hamm of Loveland, Colo.; a stepsister, Dianne Clary of Hudson S.D.; a grandfather and his wife, Gerrit and Pat Ver Meer of Boyden; and a grandmother and her husband, Berdina and Bernard Faber of Merrill.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Vander Esch; a grandfather, Bill Hamstra; and a grandmother, Jeanette Ver Meer.
