Gerrit J. Rozeboom, 103, of Orange City died Saturday, July 31, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Services were at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 4, at the First Reformed Church in Orange City with the Rev. David Ter Beest officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery.

Gerrit was born January 14, 1890, in Sioux Center, the son of Jan and Jannettje (Hoksbrgen) Rozeboom. He married Jennie Rens August 20, 1912, at Newkirk. The couple farmed at Sioux Center until 1944 when they moved to Orange City. They became residents of Brentwood Center in Le Mars in 1989. She died June 10, 1990, at Brentwood Center. He became a resident at Heritage House Nursing Home in August 1990.

He was a member of First Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include a son, John and his wife Gretchen of Sand Lake, Michigan; two daughters, Margaret Hop of Le Mars and Connie and her husband Gerald Korver of Orange City; one sister, Midge Niefert of Red Oak; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
