Mrs. Margie De Vries, age 73, of Hull, died Wednesday, February 21, at her residence.

Maggie was born July 30, 1916 in Sioux County, the daughter of Henry Zwiers and Annie Sneller Zwiers. She was raised at Sioux Center.

On January 26, 1939, she married Dick D. Roos. They lived in Hospers. Mr. Roos died September 4, 1961 at Sheldon. Mrs. Roos then lived in Hospers, Orange City and Sioux Center.

On November 30, 1968 she married Steve G. De Vries at Sioux Center. They farmed at Watson, Minnesota until 1972 when they moved to Sioux Center. Since 1974 they have lived in Hull.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull and Reformed Church Women.

Survivors include her husband, Steve; son Harlan Roos and his wife Betty of Spencer; step-son Larry De Vries of Minneapolis; step-daughter Diane Larson and her husband Dale of Camas, Washington; two granddaughters, Laura Roos and Wendy Lonning; three step-grandchildren, Brent, Tracy, and Ami Larson; and a sister, Mrs. Gilbert (Henrietta) De Jong of Alton.

In addition to her first husband, Dick, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jennie Keith.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 24 at the First Reformed Church of Hull with the Rev. Gerald Vander Velde and Scott Nichols officiating. Interment followed at the Hospers Cemetery under the direction of the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull.
