Mrs, Emilie Riegel died at the Lutheran hospital in Sioux City Monday (May 31, 1909) of cancer. She was born at Guttenburg Iowa in August 1855 and came to Sioux county in 1884. She was married to Benjamin Riegel in 1878. Seven children were born to them. They are Mrs, Frank Stoll of Atwater Minnesota, Mrs. Steven Chenhall of Mazie Oklahoma, Carl and Cora and Linda and Oscar and Benjamin at home. Deceased resided with her husband and children on a farm four miles southwest of Maurice till last January when they moved to Brookings South Dakota, Later they moved to Eden Valley Minnesota. Rev. Nuoffer of St, John's Lutheran church in Reading township preached the funeral Thursday and interment was made in the cemetery near the church
