Death Claims Mrs. Phillip Walker

Mrs. Phillip Walker passed away at her home last Thursday, March 9, after an illness of several months. Death was due to complications.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Presbyterian church with Rev. Henry Eggink officiating. The Ireton Rebekah lodge stood as guard of honor as the remains were taken into and from the church. Pall bearers were Ben Bay, Earl Wells, Frank Parrott, W. A. Marineau, Henry Poll and J. R. Karr. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Cora Wielhelmina Riegel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs: Benjamin Riegel, was born in Reading township October 5, 1889, and so was not yet 56 years of age. She was united in marriage with Phillip Walker July 26, 1911, at Eden Valley, Minn. To this union were born two sons.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Darwin, who is in the armed forces in Italy and Lynn Walker of Ireton; three brothers, Chas. Riegel of Bremerton, Wash.; Oscar Riegel of Belle Tourche, S. D.; and Ben Riegel of Sioux Center, and three sisters, Mrs. Lunettie Stoll of Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. Stephen Chenhall of Maurice and Mrs. Dan Morgan of Los Angeles, Calif.
