A message was received here Monday by relatives announcing the death of Mr. Verdoorn who left here on April sixth for a visit in the Netherlands. He died soon after his arrival in the old country.

(This was found to be Hendrik Verdoorn born 9 Aug 1832 Heesbeen North Brabant Netherlands died 26 April 1907 in the Netherlands, he was married in the Netherlands 1865 to Emmeke Roubos born 10 Oct 1843 Dussen NB, Neth died Sept 28, 1904 Middleburg IA and his parents were Joost Joe Verdoorn 1801-1973 and Maria Zizolt 1802-1943. He was the father of a large family - Maria, Elsje, John, Joost, Dirk, Teuntje, Willem, Antonie, Arie, Gertrude, Lyntje, and Hendrik.)
