Died: July 12, 1996 Ireton, IowaRochelle "Shelly" De Vries, 16, of Hawarden died Friday July 12, of injuries suffered in a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle and pickup truck accident near Ireton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wed. July 17, at the American Lutheran Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Karla Kirkeby officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden.
Shelly was born December 22, 1979, in Akron, the daughter of Lannie and Cheryl (Wills) De Vries. She had completed her freshman year at West Sioux High School in Hawarden.
She enjoyed basketball, horseback riding, swimming, volleyball and riding four-wheelers.
Survivors include her father, Lanny De Vries of Hawarden; her mother, Cheryl Patterson of Rapid City, S.D.; three sisters, Katie De Vries and Sabrina De Vries both of Rapid City, and Heather Graves of Kansas City, KS.; grandparents, Lester and Lois De Vries of Hawarden and Donald and Joan Wills of Beresford, S.D.; and 11 aunts and uncles.
