Sioux Center News of Oct 14, 1965

Dr. Edward H. Heneveld, 51 and Mrs. Heneveld, the former Betty G. Kempers, 51, one-time Sioux Center resident, were fatally injured in an airplane accident in Michigan Saturday, according to word received by relatives and friends here. They resided at 82 W Dale in Muskegon Mich

Dr. Heneveld had been associated with his brother, Dr. John Heneveld, in general practice of medicine at Muskegon since 1945 Mrs. eneveld was the daughter if John and Annie (Rozebaom) Kempers She was born in Sioux Center February 17, 1914, and grew to young womanhood here

She was graduated from Northvestern Junior College at Orange City and in 1936 graduated from the Presbyterian School of Nursng, Chicago.

She and Dr. Henereld were married in Sioux Center June 17, 1939, and both then went to Harper Hospital, Detroit, where Dr. Heneveld served his internship and Mrs. Heneveld served as a surgical nurse

Funeral services for the two were held at the Unity Reformed church at Muskegon at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday Oct 13, with Rev. Louis Renes, Jr. in charge assisted by the Rev. Dr. Paul F. Albery.

Survivors include four children, Mrs. Eugen Barbara Visscher of Ogden UT, Mrs. Daniel Gretchen Barry of Holland MI and Edward and Mary Jane at home.

Other survivors of Mrs. Heneveld include nine brothers and sisters: Mrs. William Schuiteman, Gerrit J. Kempers, Mrs. Wm. Beernink, Mrs. Richard Warntjes, all of Sioux Center. The Rev. John R. Kempers Chiapas Mex, Dr. Bert Kempers Albuquerque, NM; Mrs. Bert Mouw, Willmer MN; Bernard We. Kempers Wash DC, and Marion J. Kempers of Hull.
