Driscilla Louise Ver Steeg, 81, of Sioux Center, IA, died Monday March 12, 1998 at Marian Health Center in Sioux City, IA.

She was born to Henry L. and Jessie (Prins) Vande Berg on August 12, 1916 in Sioux Center. She attended Sioux Center countrysSchool to the eighth grade. She married John Carl Ver Steeg Sr. on December 27, 1945 in Sioux Center. Driscillia worked at the Mutual Telephone Company and Kinsey Elementary School, both in Sioux Center, and was a full time homemaker. She was a member of the First Reformed Church where she participated through-out her life by playing organ, singing in the choir, Mission Band and Women's Circle. She enjoyed reading, traveling, music, small group Bible studies and spending time with her family.

Survivors include one son John Carl Jr. of Rock Valley, IA; two daughters, Mary Ver Steeg of Sterling KS; and Mrs. Steve (Jane) Phinney of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren; Abby, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Traci. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter (Beth Ann) and brother (Jerry)
