Mr. Martin Dykshorn passed away Sunday night at his home in Sioux Center. He had reached the age of 73 years. On Feb. 21, 1923, in Sioux Center, he was united in marriage to Jennie Vande Berg who now survives. To this union two children were born: Joyce, Mrs. John Sjaarda of Ireton, IA and Lois, Mrs. Gordon Van Roekel of Maurice, IA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. John Sneller of Sioux Center, Mrs. William Brantsen of Sioux Center, William of Hawarden, Mrs. Henry Franken of Pella, Marion of Sheldon, Edward of Sioux Center, Mrs. Clay Cox of Omaha and Mrs. Dave Roelofs of Sioux Center. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Simon.

Mr. Dykshorn was a World War I Veteran and was also a member of the First Reformed Church his entire life serving as an elder and deacon. His passing is mourned by a host of friends and relatives.
