Fredrick W. Schroder, age 90, of Orange City, died Monday, Feb. 11, 1991 at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, 1991 at 11 a.m. at the First Reformed Church Chapel, with the Rev. Steven Vander Molen officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Fredrick Wilhelm was born Feb. 22,1900 at Amstelveen, The Netherlands, the son of Jan Samuel and Margo (Shatlendreyer) Schroder. He came to America at the age of 22. On Nov. 1, 1936 he married Anna Weyers at Sioux Center. They fanned in the Maurice and Orange City areas until 1972 when they retired into Orange City. "Fred" was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; daughter, Margaret at home; son, Donald and his wife Carolyn of Waukee, Iowa; four grandsons, one granddaughter and nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
