Mrs. Richard (Mabel) Garrett, 66, of Hawarden was dead on arrival at a Hawarden hospital Tuesday, May 3. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 6 In the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden Pastor Larry R. Colburn officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. . Garrett, the former Mabel Edgar, was born February 12, 1917, at Davenport. She married Richard Garrett November 13,1952, at Sioux City. The couple made their home in Hawarden. He died May 24,1966. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Margo Garrett of Rock Valley.
