Eugene Gene D. Ronan 56 of Scottsdale AZ died Sunday May 8 at his home of a heart attack. Services will be held Thursday May 12 at 10:00 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church of Scottsdale. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ronan was born August 18, 1926 on his father’s birthday at Hawarden. H obtained all his education at a rural school and graduated from Hawarden High School He served in the US. Navy and after returning home he married Jessie Pile of Wayne, NE in Wayne on September ( 1948?) To this union were born six children. David of Scottsdale, Daniel of Des Moines, Mrs. Gary (Ann) Stauss of Wild Fire, TX, Phillip of Scottsdale, Joseph of Baker, MT, and Scott at home

Survivors include his wife, Jessie; his six children; three grandchildren; one brother, John of Fremont, NE; six sisters , Mrs. Leo (Alice) Schiefen of Hawarden; Mrs. Florence A. Dutton Of Billings, MT; Mrs. Liaus (Ellen) Harley of Canton, SD; Mrs . Maurice (Kathleen) Tomjack of Rock Rapids; Mrs. Glen (Margaret) McVay of Canton; Mrs. Lloyd (Irene) Batcbelder of Sioux Falls; a host of nieces and nephews; relatives and friends. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Konan and one sister, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Brown proceeded him in death.
