Leslie G. Smit, 39, of Hull, died suddenly at his home on February 20. Funeral services were held February 23 in the First Reformed Church in Hull, the Rev. Gerald Vander Velde and Mr. Rick Christy officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery in Hull under the Direction of Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull.

Leslie was born November 28, 1951 in Hull, a son of the late Leonard and Gertie (Oldenkamp) Smit. He was reared in Doon, graduating from the Central Lyon Community High School. He was a welder at Oldenkamp Manufacturing for the past 11 years. He was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include his mother, Esther Smit, of Hull, a sister, Mrs. Barry (Linda) Bauer of Doon. His parents and a brother, Leonard, Jr. preceded him in death.
