Mr. Ben Sandbulte passed away Sat. afternoon at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. He had reached the age of 55 years, 8 months, and 10 days. On Feb. 17, 1932, he was united in marriage to Rena Rensink who survives, as well as their six children; Arend, Ardene (Mrs. Arnold Ver Hoef) Dorothy, (Mrs. William Baldwin) Wilbur, Esther, and Rachel. Eight grandchildren survive as well as his aged mother who is making her home in the Sioux Center Nursing Wing. He is also survived by five sisters; Etta (Mrs. Henry Den Herder) Johanna (Mrs. Opke Feekes), Henrietta (Mrs. John Schuiteman), Cynthia (Mrs. Gerrit Rensink) and Agnes (Mrs. Bert Harskamp). His brother, Joe, preceded him in death on November 11, 1962, as well as three brothers, and one sister who died early in life.

Mr. Sandbulte had served on the consistories of both the Carmel Reformed Church and the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center as well as having served the community as a Town Council member of over 15 years.

Mr. Sandbulte was a partner in the Sioux Implement from 1944 to 1953, and at that time became manager of the Co-op Produce, a position he held until the time of his death. Mr. Sandbulte was an active community member and his sudden death is mourned by a host of relatives and friends.
