Charles E. Wasser, 92, of Hawarden, died Tuesday, August 12 in a care center at Hawarden. Services were at 10:30. a.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiated. Burial was at Grace Hill Cemetery. There was a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Wasser was born Nov. 29, 1887, in Deep River. He moved to Hawarden with parents in 1893. He married Ida Searles Jan. 24, 1912 at Hawarden. She died Dec. 23, 1952. He farmed in the Hawarden area, retiring in 1946. Mr. Wasser was a member of United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by 2- daughters; Evelyn Treiber and Maxine Eberlein and 1 son, Lloyd.

Survivors include three sons, Hayes, Warren and Hobert, all of Hawarden; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Freda Smith of Zionsville, Ind.

Friends attending were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Eilts, Ireton; Mr. and Mrs. John Dierckson of Le Mars; Mr. and Mr s. Robert Gayer, Rock Valley; Mrs. Charles Moeller, Inwood and Mrs. Henry Roghair, Orange City.
