Mrs. W.C. (Esther) Rush, 78, of Hawarden died Saturday, March 8 at the Sibley Hospital. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home of Hawarden.

Esther Lucia Rush was born July 5, 1901 in Craig, Iowa. She attended school at Craig, Iowa and was baptized and confirmed in , the St. John's Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to William C. Rush, July 31,1924 at Le Mars, Iowa.

To this union was born six children: William, Robert, Dorothy Jean, Paul, Charlene and Patricia. Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, her husband, and 2 grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Hawarden, Iowa. She passed away Saturday, March 8 at the Sibley, Iowa hospital at the age of 78 after being in ill Health the last few months. She had been a resident of the Country View Manor, Sibley, Iowa for the past 1 1/2 years.

She is survived by three sons, Bill of Sheldon, Bob of Chicago, IL., and Paul of Lenexa, Kans.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy Jean) Smith of Blakely, Ga., Mrs. David (Charlene) Anderson of Storm Lake, and Mrs. Jim (Patricia) Wall of Alta; 17 grandchildren and 2 Great grand children
