Sioux County Capital, July 26, 1982

Mrs. John (Johanna) Schuiteman, 84, of Sioux Center died Friday, July 23, in a hospital at Sioux Center.

Services were at 10:30 a.m., Monday in the First Reformed Church. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Schuiteman, the former Johanna Rozeboom was born Aug. 22, 1897 at Sioux Center.

She married John Schuiteman, March 8, 1921, at Sioux Center. He died Oct. 5, 1959.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Henry (Harriet) Boterhoek of Sheldon; Miss Arlene of Zambia, Africa; Mrs. Howard (Bernice) Sandbulte and Grada, both of Sioux Center; Mrs. Wilmer (Joyce) Ver Meer of Brandon, WI, and Mrs. Lee (Mildred) Ten Brink of Holland, MI; three brothers, John B. and Arthur, both of Sioux Center and the Rev. Garrett of Holland; three sisters, Mrs. Ed. G. (Hermina) Vermeer and Miss Gertrude, both Sioux Center and Mrs. Andrew (Minnie) Sanko of Buffalo, NY; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
