John T. Fluit 62 of Sioux Falls, died December 22, 2004 at Avera McKennan Hospital. He was born February 22, 1942 in Alvord, IA the son of Teunis and Elizabeth Fluit. He attended Alvord Schools and farmed near Alvord. He was untied in marriage to Alice Vander Werf on September 28, 1963 in Sioux Center IA. He farmed near Canton and in the Hartford Humboldt areas before becoming a truck driver for Heyl and Pam Oil and Stensland Gravel Company.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Alice of Sioux Falls; two sons, John Allen (Cindy) Fluit of Sioux Falls and Terry (Tiffany) Fluit of Canton; one daughter, Arlene Harle of Baltic; four sisters, Clazina (Harvey) Burgraff of Inwood IA, Ella Minor of Beloit, IA, Jennie (Bernard) Johnson of Harrisburg SD and two brothers, Teunis (Jean) Fluit of Larchwood IA and William (Larae) Fluit of Alvord IA; and three grandchildren, Samantha Hatle, Justin and Heather Fluit. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Friday Dec 24, at Heritage Funeral home with burial in Pleasant View cemetery Harrisburg. Visitation 3pm on Thursday at Heritage Funeral home, with the family present from 6:30 to 8.
