Tunis Fluit dies in Washington.
A former rural Rock Rapids resident died Dec 3, at is ome in Lynden Washington. Tnis Fluit 51, died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services were held there Dec. 7, the Rev. VerHoef of the Netherlands Reformed church officiating.

Mr. Fluit was born in Larchwood; married Elizabeth Hofwegen; farmed in Lyon county until about four years ago when the family moved to Washington. Survivors include the widow; five children, Harriet, Mrs. Henry Kattenberg, Doon; Charolet Mrs. Pitman of Lynden, Wash; and Mike, Douglas and Patrick, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Anna Fluit Rock Valley; two sisters and four brothers.
