Funeral services will be held Thursday for Pete Anema, about 73, of Sioux Center, who died at a hospital there after a long illness with cancer. Services were held in the Sioux City Christian Reformed Church.

Mr. Anema was born at rural Rock Valley; he married Anna De Boer and they farmed in the Doon area years ago and was until his retirement an employee of the City of Sioux City.

He is survived by his wife and five children and other relatives.
