Mrs. Anne Boone, 87, of Hospers, passed away Thursday, May 12, at the Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon.

Anne (Brink) Boone was born Dec. 23, 1900 at Sheldon. On August 3, 1921 she united in marriage to Anthony "Tony" Boone of Primghar. They made their home in Hospers. Mr. Boone passed away July 26, 1977.

For the past 5 1/2 years, Mrs. Boone has resided at nursing homes in Sibley and Sheldon, and most recently at the Long Term Care Unit in Sheldon.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church at Hospers and the Ladies Aide of the church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Boone of Hospers; two grandchildren, Mrs. Doris Bajema of Escondido, California, and Darlo Boone and his wife Jean, of Sheldon; and three great-grandsons, Michael Bajema of Escondido, California and Aaron and Jason Boone of Sheldon.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Edlen "Bud", six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, at the First Reformed Church of Hospers, with the Rev. Carl J. De Jong officiating. Interment followed at the Hospers Cemtery under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
