Funeral services for Frank Van De Kieft, 81, were held Wednesday June 10, at the First Reformed Church of Inwood. He died Sunday, June 7. Interment will be at the Richland Cemetery in Inwood. The Rev. Randall Schreurs officiated.

Frank Van De Kieft was born November 19, 1910, at Utrecht, Holland to Marinus & Josina (Landzaat) Van De Kieft. He came to the USA to the Rock Valley area in 1919.

He married Gerdina Meerbeek at Rock Valley on August 31, 1932. They lived in California until 1939 when they moved back to Rock Valley. The started farming at Crooks, SD until farming near Larchwood in 1943 and near Inwood in 1945. They retired in 1972 when they moved into Inwood.

Frank moved to the Colonial Manor of Hudson in October, 1989.

He was an elder, deacon and a Sunday school teacher at the First Reformed Church in Inwood.

He is survived by his wife, Gerdina of Inwood; one son, Frank Jr. (Mike) of Canton; three daughters, Mrs. Hank (Jozena) Van De Stroet of Bishop, CA; Mrs. Case (Alice) Van De Stroet of Fairview, and Mrs. Bob (Delores) Sullivan of Glendale, AZ, two brothers, Henry & John both of Rock Rapids, IA; one sister, Mrs. Josina Hilt of Canton; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Marinus, Bill and Gerrit, two sisters, Cora Brower and Helena Reimsma and one grandson, Gene Van De Stroet.
