Littleton, CO - Roxanne Renae (Gritters) Terpstra, 48, of Littleton, CO formerly of Sioux Center, died Monday, Feb. 2.

Roxanne Terpstra, daughter of Egbert & Henrietta Gritters, was born Jan. 20, 1961. While attending Dordt College in Sioux Center, she met Rick Terpstra, whom she married on May 15, 1982. Three children were born to this union. Her passion for her family, her church and her school gave her the zeal for life. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and a tireless supporter of her children's athletic involvements. She was a compassionate and caring mother who knew no limits when it came to her family. She modeled the Christ like love between a husband and wife that sickness could not destroy. The Lord called her to serve Him as a teacher. She taught at Mason City Christian School four years, Sully Christian School nine years and Denver Christian School 11 years. For the past 11 years, she taught at Highlands Ranch Christian School, serving as the support services teacher. Denver Christian School had a special place in her heart and her dedication to the school and her students was unquestionable. She was an advocate and friend for students with special needs, helping each student discover their unique, God-given gifts.

She was an active founding member of Coram Deo Reformation Church in Highlands Ranch, CO where she played the organ every Sunday. Her faith and passion for the Lord was evident to all who knew her. She joyfully served the Lord, seeking His will above all.
