Gertie Koedam, 88, of Sioux Center died Saturday, November 16. at a hospital In Canton, South Dakota. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, al Netherlands Reformed Church of Sioux Center. Burial was in (he Sioux Center Cemetery.

The former Gertie Van Ginkel was born In Killduff July 25, 1908. She married Henry Koedam at Orange City February 7, 1923. They fanned in rural Rock Valley and later moved to rural Inwood. They retired in Sioux Center in 1964. He died in 1905. She moved to the Fellowship Village in Inwood in December 198O?. She was a member of Netherlands Reformed Church of Sioux Center.

Survivors include one daughter, Alyda Van Luttikhuizen of Sioux Center; three sons. Everett and Josephine Koedamn of Inwood, William H. Koedam of Yakima, Washington, and Gerrit Koedam of Council Bluffs; one brother, Ed Van Ginkel of Chino, California; three sisters, Marie Koedam and Kate Hoogendoorn, both of Rock Valley and Jennie De Wit of Sioux Falls; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
