Funeral services for Henry Koedam were held Monday at 1:30 at the Vander Ploeg funeral home at Sioux Center with Rev Hageman officiating. Burial was in the Sioux Center cemetery. Henry Koedam died early Friday morning at the Sioux Center Community hospital after a few days of serious illness.

He had attained the age of 66 years. Henry Koedam was born at Sioux Center Oct. 17, 1898.and grew up on a farm east of Rock Valley. On Feb. 7, 1923 he married Gertie Van Ginkel. They farmed in this area and about a year ago retired and moved into Sioux Center.

He is survived by the widow, Gertie; his daughter, Alida, Mrs. Arie Van Luttikhuizen of Rock Valley; three sons, William and Gerrit of Sioux Center and Evert of Larchwood; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, John Koedam,. Andrew Koedam and James Koedam all of Rock Valley and Sam Koedam of Corsica, S. D.; two sisters, Martha, Mrs. Sam Van Kerkerix and Mary, Mrs. William Van Ginkel both of Rock Valley. One grandson preceded him in death. Pallbearers were nephews, William K. Koedam, William J. Koedam, William S. Koedam, William Van Kekerix, Edwin Van Ginkel and Leroy Koedam.
