John Koedam. 87, of Rock Valley, died at a Sioux City hospital May 27of a brief illness. Services were May 30 in the First Christian Reformed Church. Rock Valley. The Rev. Roger Bultman officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mr. Koedam vas born Sept 17, 1893..at Soux Center. He married Hattie Blankespoor on Jan. 4. 1917 in Rock Valley. She died Oct. 30, 1950.

Survivors include two sons. Kenneth of Rock Valley and Elmer of Hull; one daughter, Alydia Clark of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Jim and one. sister, Mrs. William (Mary) Van Ginkel. Both of Rock Valley; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
