Mrs, John Koedam, 56, Died Monday Rock Valley Mrs. John Koedam, 56, passed away at about o'clock Monday morning. She has been very ill with cancer for three and one half months, being confined to her bed for the past four weeks. She is the former Hattie Blankespoor. Funeral services will be held at the farm home east of Rock Valley at 12:45 and at the Christian Reformed Church at 1:30.

Hattie Blankespoor was born in tae Netherlands on Feb. 14, 1894 and came with her parents to this country when she was eight years old. On Jan. 4, 1917 she was married to John Koedam. After their marriage the couple lived near Lester, la. then farmed south and east of Rock Valley,

She is survived by her husband, five children, William of Luverne, Minn.; Henrietta, Mrs. Joe De Goei of Sioux Center; Alida; Mrs Walter Clark of Harrisburg, S D and Elmer and Kenneth at home. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters, Maas Blankespoor of Sioux Center; John Blankespoor of Doon, Evert Blankespoor of -Rock Valley; Guys Blankespoor of Rock Valley; Jennie, Mrs. John Vander Bilto of Plymouth, Ohio; and Grace, Mrs Gerrit Van't Hul of Rock Valley A sister, Kate Mrs. Mees Van Seek passed away about 24 years ago and a brother, Henry died in April
