Martina Kreykes, 86, of Orange City died Friday, September 1, in the hospital at Orange City. Services were Monday at Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Rev. Richard Venema and the Rev. Gerrit Docter officiating. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery. Born Martina Reinsma on July 21, 1903 at Boyden, she was the daughter of Dick and Gertrude Korver Reinsma.

She married John A. Kreykes January 25, 1928, at Orange City. They farmed at Hospers for about 10 years, and then in the Orange City area. They moved into Orange City in 1950. For several years, they were custodians at Christian Elementary School. John Kreykes died November 25, 1978, in Orange City.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Marvella and John Woltjer of Grand Rapids, Michigan; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Coral Kreykes, also of Grand Rapids; two brothers, Jurrian Reinsma of Orange City and John Reinsma of Woodland Park, Colorado; two sisters, Frances Duven and Jennie Bouma, both of Orange City; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
