Rudolph Van Pelt, 92, formerly from Maurice and Orange City, died July 20 at Bellflower, California. Funeral services were held July 24 at the Bethel Reformed Church in Bellflower, California. Burial was at Rose Hills Memorial Park.

Mr. Van Pelt was born July 17, 1895 at Pella. He married Eva Vander Stoep. They lived in this area until 1945 when they moved to California. He lived there 25 years. Some years after the passing of his wife, he moved back to Maurice and married Hattie Van Roekel. They resided in Maurice and later at the Pioneer Home in Orange City for four years. Following his wife’s death he moved back to California to be with his family.

Survivors are his son, Roy of Oregon, Arlene Duistermars of Wellsburg, Duane of Bellflower, California, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
