Orange City Dentist is Found Dead: May Have Suffered Heart Attack

Dr. D. Q. Storie, 52, dentist at Orange City the past 14 years, was found dead early Wednesday on the banks of the Big Sioux river, a short distance south of the bridge at Chatsworth, where he had gone Tuesday afternoon to fish.

Death was believed to have been caused by a heart attack or cerebral hemorrhage.

He was found by a farmer who had noticed Storie's car parked near the river the night before and who went to investigate when he noticed the vehicle was still there early Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at the American Reformed Church in Orange City. The time and date had not been set yesterday afternoon pending word from a son David, a student at the University of Iowa, who was due home Wednesday evening.

Only other immediate survivors besides his son is his wife.

Prior to beginning practice in Orange City 14 years ago he had practiced at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa for a time.
