Rites for John Koob
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s church Wednesday morning for John Koob. Rev. J. J. Dalhoo officiated. Interment was made in St. Joseph’s cemetery. Pall bearers were Jake Spieler, Leonard Grady, Frank Bernard, Cletus Letchenberg, Ollie Konz, and Peter Oberman.

John Koob A Suicide
John Koob, 42 years old of 3 miles north and y2 mile west of Granville committed suicide Monday morning around 8 a. m. by shooting a 22 rifle bullet through his head. Koop had been living with his parents. His body was found by his brother who noticed a car parked in the lane lead ing to the farm home and went to investigate. He found John breathing but death came before a doctor could reach the scene.

Sheriff Dykstra and Coroner Van der Plpeg were both called and the coroner declared Mr. Koob a suicide. Sometime last year, John had been considered for CD servation at Cherokee but had appeared in fair health recently
