Francis P. Koob, age 65 of Granville, died Friday at his home. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Granville. The Rev. Nicholas Becker of Spirit Lake officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mr. Koob was born July 22, 1920 in Granville. He was educated at the school for the deaf in Council Bluffs. He was employed at the Dittman Lounge in Granville. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a brother, Milo and one sister, Mrs. Arnold (Marina) Nemmers, both of Granville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard (Anna Drees) Koob, five brothers, Nicholas, John, Leonard, Jim, and Edwin, and one sister, Mrs. John (Margaret) Hodapp.
