Mrs. Rose C. Koob, 83, of Paullina died Sunday, January 3, 1993 at a nursing home in Paullina. Services were at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, January 7, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Granville with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Clem Currans officiated at the service. Music was by St. Joseph's Choir, with Clara Hoefler as organist. Arrangements were under the directon of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina.

Rose Koob, was the daughter of Nick and Anna Thorman Schwebach and was born August 9, 1909 at Granville, Iowa. She received her education at schools in the Granville area. On September 28, 1936 she was united in marriage to Ray Koob at St. Joseph's Church in Granville. After their marriage, the couple moved to Paullina to make their home. For many years, Rose was employed at Lange's Cafe in Paullina. Her husband preceded her in death in 1972. She made her home at the Wide View Rest Home for the last several years. She passed away there on Sunday, January 3, 1993 reaching the age of 83 years, 4 months and 24 days. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the V.F.W, Auxiliary of Granville.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Carol and her husband Harlan Voetberg of Gillette, WY, Nancy Koob and Sharon Wallace, both of Paullina; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Grady of Granville and Gladys Noethe of Melvin; also a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers were Jim Benner, Greg Sjaarda, Dale Bunkers, Ron Chapman, Gordon Schneider and James Budden.
