Mrs. Bernard (Donna) Koob, 56, Hawarden, died Wednesday, July 6,1983, at a Hawarden hospital after a long illness. Services were at 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, 1983, in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. William Carel officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of Dow Funeral Home, Hawarden. Pallbearers were Keith Morehead, Richard Ball, Richard Weyen, Marlin Janssen, Dick Swift, and Jerry Streit.

Mrs. Koob, the former Donna M. Marienau, was born Aug. 14, 1926, at Ireton. She was married April 30,1946, in Hawarden. She lived in the Ireton area until she was married and moved to Hawarden. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Guild. She also was a member of the Hawarden Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ward (Patricia) Peterson of Davenport, and Vicki Leafstedt of Denver, CO; a son Tom, of South Sioux City, NE; four grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne of Spokane, WA, and Verle of Hawarden.
