Life LegacyMrs. Kimberly Hase, age 42, of Orange City, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at the the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
There will be a funeral service on Monday, January 27, at 10:00am, at the Alton Reformed Church in Alton. The Rev. Roger Voskuil will officiate. Interment will follow at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation will be after 2:00pm on Sunday, with the family present from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.
Kimberly Jill was born on August 4, 1971, in Sibley, the daughter of George Allen and Helen Elaine (Huyser) Henrichs. She was raised at Sibley, where she graduated from high school in 1989. She also attended the Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon for a year. She was then employed at the Pamida Discount Center and the Maintainer Corporation, both in Sheldon.
On October 2, 1999, she married Chad LaRoy Hase in Alton. They made their home in Orange City. For the past fifteen years, she was a documentation technician for Groschoppe in Sioux Center.
Kim enjoyed scrapbooking, NASCAR, camping, and animals, especially cats. She was also the photographer for the Orange City Fire Department.
Survivors include her husband of fourteen years; mother, Helen (George Burgers) Henrichs, of Canton, South Dakota; father, George (Rhonda) Henrichs, of Sibley; three brothers, Bill (Apryl) Henrichs, of Little Rock; and James (Sonya) Henrichs and Clint Henrichs, both of Sibley; and two sisters, Lori (Mike) Heck, of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; and Jodi (Keith) Boneschans, of Bigelow, Minnesota.
She is also survived by Chad’s family, his mother, Darlin (Dennis) Vander Wel, of Orange City; father, John (Sheryl) Hase, of Alta; four sisters, Tasha (Dave) Winterfeld, of Sioux Center; Kim (Billy) Leversee, of Gilbert, Arizona; and April and Britney Hase, both of Alta; two brothers, Anand Hase, of Winterset; and Nehemiah Hase, of Alta; and a grandmother, Darlene Van Es, of Alton.
In addition, there are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins from both families.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Til Huyser, Willie and Ruth Henrichs, Berdena Hase, and Selma Vander Wel.
Memorials will be directed to the Doughtery Hospice House.
