Rita B. Kool, 91, Sioux City, died Monday, Feb. 15,1993 at a Sioux City hospital. Services were held Wednesday at 11:00a.m.atSLMary'sChurch in Alton. The Rev. Cecil Friedmann officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Alton under direction of the Larkin Northside Funeral Home, Sioux City.

Mrs. Kool, the former Rita B. Schneider, was born Oct. 31, 1901 in Alton, the daughter of John and Catherine (Thelen) Schneider. She was raised in Alton and lived in Orange City for many years. She married Tom Kool July 20, 1926 in Pender, Neb. They came to Sioux City in 1958. Mrs. Kool was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City and the parish Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dudley D. and his wife Marge Kool of Sioux City, and Larry L. Kool of Sioux Falls, S.D.; asister, Martha Kellen of Alton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
