Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Trinity Reformed Church for Henry L. Van Wyk of Orange City. Mr. Van Wyk suffered a heart attack Thursday and passed away in the Orange City hospital at 6 a.m. Saturday. He was born March 19, 1890 to the late Arie Van Wyk and (Minnie De Jong), Van Wyk. He spent his entire life-time in this vicinity.
He was married to Cora Muilenburg in 1912 and the couple moved to a farm near Orange City, continuing farming until their retirement to town in 1947.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Lawrence and Eugene; one daughter, Wilma Joan (Mrs. Clifford Leslie), all living in or near Orange City with families. There are ten grandchildren, one brother, Rev. John C. Van Wyk resides in Holland, Michigan.
Rev. Donald Lenderink, pastor of the Trinity church officiated at the funeral services, and interment was made in the Orange City Cemetery with the Van Etten Funeral Service in charge.
