Vastenhout, Willemyntje(Mrs. Pieter) 1873-1961

Willemyntje Uithoven was born in Burgerveen, Netherlands, January 10, 1893. On April 17, 1895 she was united in marriage to Pieter Vastenhout. To this union four children were born, two of whom passed away in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death, passing away on April 12, 1911 at Niew Vennep, Netherlands.

In 1920 she came to thjis country with her two daughers who survive her; Jennie (Mrs. K. Vastenhout of Kenneth, Minn., and Winnie (Mrs. Ten Hanson) of Lebanon. She also leaves to mourn her departure four grandchildren, Susan, (Mrs. J. Nesman), Nellie (Mrs. P. Gulker), Wilbur Vastenhout and Darlene Hanson, and four great-grandchildren, Barbara Kay and Mary Ann Newman and Duane and Diane Gulker; one brother Jake Uithoven of Valley Springs, S.D., and one sister, Mrs. John De Vroeg of Sioux Center.

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the home and at the Central Reformed Church, Rev. Benjamin Ver Steeg officaed at the services. Burial took place at the local cemetery and acting as pall bearers were John De Boer, Gerrit Doornwaard, John Ver Burg, Sy Hulstein, Case Vreugdenhil, Dick Colenbrander.
