Winnie Vollink, 82, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, October 24, at the Canton-Inwood Hospital in Canton, South Dakota.

Services were Friday at First Reformed Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. C. Eric Fennema officiating. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Vollink was born on January 20, 1913, in Sioux Center, the daughter of Feite & Winnie (Lockhorst) Pollema. The family lived in the Hull-Perkins area. She married Herman Vollink on March 3, 1949, in Hull. The couple farmed south of Rock Valley until September 1987, when they retired and moved to Rock Valley. He died on October 30, 1988. Mrs. Vollink moved to the Fellowship Village in Inwood on August 31, 1995.

Survivors include a son, Nelson Vollink of Sioux Falls; a daughter and her husband, Luelle and Gary DeJong of Primghar; a brother, Bill Pollema of Hull; three sisters, Jennie Brouwer and Gertrude Van Sloten, both of Rock Valley, and Wilma (Mrs. George) Vink of Hull; four grandchildren: Beth (Mrs. Kurt) Schemmel, Leah DeJong, Leigh Ann DeJong and Ali Vollink; and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, Sy and Peter Pollema, and two sisters, Anna Schuurman and Alice Steenhoven.
