Funeral services were held last Thursdsy, for Peter Kooiker,. 65, of Rock Valley, at 1:30 p.m. in the First Reformed Church with the Rev. Ralph G. Ten Clay officiating. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.

Pete Kooiker died November 3 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City following a three month illness. Mr. Kooiker was born on March 20, 1904 in Hull. He married Pauline Van Driel on April 27, 1934 at Canton. He was in the farming and salvage business and lived in Rock Valley since 1952.

Survivors are his wife: one son, Jerome Dean of Minneapolis, Minn.; one daughter, Audrey of Minneapolis, Minn. two brothers, Dr. Herman Kooiker of Jacksonville, IL. and Dr. Clarence Kooiker of Rapid City, S. D.; two sisters, Mrs. Tom Woody of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Joe Erickson of Minneapolis, Minn.
