Word was received in Hull Monday evening that Mr. Luke Kooiker had passed away in the Veterans' Hospital at Des Moines, Iowa, at 4:35 that afternoon. He had been a patient in the hospital there for five weeks and death was caused by cancer and complications. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the First Reformed Church in Hull.

Mr. Luke Kooiker was 54 years old having been born September 20, 1889.

He is survived by his mother. Mrs. John Kooiker: Five brothers, Herman of Milford, Ralph of Perkins, Nick of Boyden, Dick of Chicago IL and Clarence of Baltimore MD; and three sisters. Alice (Mrs . Al Vande Stouwe) of Hull, Ruth of Los Angeles CA, and Catherine (Mrs. Vernon Fleming ) of Minneapolis MN His father preceded him in death.

Luke Kooiker was a verteran of WWI. He had lived in this vicinity all of his life.
