Anne Kooima, 73, of Rock Valley died Thursday, August 1.1, 1988, at a hospital in Rock Valley. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 15 at the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Robert Timmer officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley. Family visitation was held at Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Kooima, the former Anne De Boer, was born Feb. 3, 1915, at Rock Valley. She married Peter Kooima Feb. 18, 1937, near Rock Valley. The couple farmed near Rock Valley. They retired in 1984 and moved into the town of Rock Valley. She was a member of the Trinity Christian Reformed Church and the Share Our Faith Bible Study.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Sebert of Sussex, N.J., Don of Schererville, Ind., Ken and Harlan, both of Rock Valley; two daughters, Mrs. Ben (Trudy) Huisken of Rock Valley and Mrs. Ron (Marlene) Kuyper of Doon, Iowa; two brothers, Bill DeBoer of Rock Valley and Jake DeBoer of Littleton, Colo.; 21 grandchildren. A memorial has been established in her name at Bibles for Mexico, a project of the World Home Bible League
